FLU VICTIM AT MIDWEST CAMP
Douglas Enterprise - November 11, 1919Spanish influenza claimed its first victim of the winter in this vicinity in the death on Wednesday of Irene Elsie Cookston, 13 years old, daughter of Mrs. John Cookston, who conducted a boarding house in the "Sage Brush camp" of the Midwest company at Parkerton. The girl had been ill about six weeks.
Funeral services were held Friday from the chapel of Hofmann & Amspoker at Glenrock and burial took place in the Glenrock cemetery.
