Youth Unknown William Clark, Son of Grace (Mecum) Clark Dies Wednesday At Worland

Douglas residents were saddened to learn of the sudden death Wednesday of William J. Clark, 24-year-old son of Grace (Mecum) Clark, former Douglas resident, who passed away at Worland from an undetermined cause.

Clark, a native Douglasite, suffering from an unknown ailment, became ill two weeks ago and had been in a coma since a week ago Saturday. A blood transfusion administered Tuesday failed to revive him.

According to word received here an autopsy was performed Friday to determine the cause of death.

Young Clark attended the Douglas schools and is known here by a wide circle of friends. With his family and grandmother, Mrs. W.F. Mecum, he left Douglas three years ago.

He is survived by his mother, two sisters, Marjorie and Marion, and his grandmother, Mrs. W.F. Mecum.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Worland.
