Funeral services were held in Casper for Gunner Emil Carlson, 47, who died Thursday in Glenrock after jumping from the Deer Creek bridge.

Born Sept. 9, 1904, in Motola, Sweden, Carlson served with the U.S. force in World War II and was a printer by trade.

Four Glenrock-Parkerton high school students, Clifford Hust, Dickie Masterson, Joy Leuenberger and Pat Abernathy, saw him jump.

His body was recovered within 20 minutes but member of the Glenrock fire department were unable to revive him.
