Douglas Budget - October 14, 2009Funeral services for Barbara Juanita Cattles, 78, were held Oct. 10 at Gorman Funeral Homes - Converse Chapel in Douglas, with Rev. Linda Wells of First United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment was in Rawlins Cemetery Oct. 12.
Barbara Cattles, a resident of Douglas and formerly of Casper and Rawlins, died Oct. 6, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Converse County.
She was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Rawlins, the daughter of Bill and Mar Adele (Countryman) Cairns.
Barbara was reared and educated in Rawlins and graduated from Rawlins High School. After graduation, she attended business school in Colorado Springs, Colo.
She married her high school sweetheart, Steve Cattles, on Oct. 10, 1952, in Rawlins. To this union they were blessed with a daughter and a son.
Barbara was well liked and loved by anyone she met, and her family was her heart and soul.
She is survived by her husband, Steve, of Douglas; son Roger Cattles of Buffalo; daughter Dorcas Farrell of Douglas; grandchildren Eric Stahl of Cecilia, Kent., Corey Cattles of Laramie, Kelsey Cattles of Buffalo and Stacey Farrell and Thomas Farrell, both of Buffalo, N.Y.; uncle Roscoe Countryman of Payson, Utah; and numerous cousins.
A memorial to the Intensive Care Unit of Memorial Hospital of Converse County, 111 South Fifth Street, Douglas, WY 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
