Douglas Budget - December, 1980Funeral services for Daniel Fredrick Danaher, 68, of Glenrock were held on Dec. 7 at the Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Irwin Brandjord officiating. Interment was in the Glenrock Cemetery.
Mr. Danaher died on Dec. 5 at this home following a short illness.
He was born on May 3, 1912 in Center, Nebraska. He lived his early life there, moving to Douglas in 1931. He married Annie McDonald in 1939 and moved to Glenrock where he had resided ever since. He worked for Continental Refinery for 15 years and was Chief of Police in Glenrock and an Undersheriff for the Converse County Sheriff's Department. He was a graduate of the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Glenrock.
Survivors include his wife Annie of Glenrock; son Joe Danaher and daughters Twink Weckett and Laurie Schaffner, all of Glenrock; plus six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Thomas.
Memorials to the Shrine Hospital in Salt Lake City of the Christ Episcopal Church will be appreciated by the family.
