Douglas Budget - September, 1990Douglas resident Anne Mabel Daniels, 96, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 1990, at Michael Manor following a long illness.
Mrs. Daniels was born June 18, 1894 in Ono, Wis., the daughter of Ocellus Pinkston and Flavia (Cooke) Whipp. She was reared and educated in Ono, receiving her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. For a time she taught in Douglas where she met her future husband, Leslie B. Daniels, one of her students in high school.
She was married in Douglas and then moved to Fort Collins, Colo., where she continued her teaching, receiving many honors in her field. She lived in Fort Collins for many years. She was a member of the Congregational Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary G. Smith of Kinnear, Wyo., and Donna L. Lowe of Mill Valley, Calif.; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Leslie on May 3, 1984; and two sisters.
Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
