Douglas Budget - 1991Clara I. Daniels, widow of Arthur B. Daniels, died in Tomah, Wisconsin on December 26, 1991, at the age of 98. On Sunday, July 12, 1992, her ashes were placed in the Daniels family plot in Park Cemetery where her husband and daughter are buried.
Mrs. Daniels was a Wyoming Pioneer, born to John C. and Ellen Rose (Daley) Schmidt in Lusk, Wyoming in 1893. She grew up in Douglas and was a 1910 graduate of the Douglas High School.
Mr. and Mrs. Daniels left Douglas in the mid 1920s and as employees of the Bureau of Indian Affairs served in Arizona, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. They retired in 1953/54.
Her husband, son Bruce and daughter Evelyn (Sis) preceded her in death, as did two sisters and two brothers. Surviving are three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren.
Local arrangements were handled by the Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas.
