Funeral services for Claudia Lee Davis, 44, will be held at 10 a.m. March 8 at Douglas Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Tyler officiating.

Interment will be at Douglas Park Cemetery. Mrs. Davis died March 4 at her home near Douglas.

She was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Claude E. and Gwendolyn (King) Tate. She was reared and educated in Taft, Texas, for three years. The family moved to Ashdown, Ark., where she finished her education, graduating from Ashdown High School in 1974.

She married Stephen D. Davis on Feb. 15, 1974, in Arden, Ark., at Arden Assembly of God Church. They moved to Texas, Michigan, Arkansas again, Casper in 1978, Wright in 1994 and Douglas in 1994, where she resided until the time of her death.

Mrs. Davis enjoyed crafts, all kinds of animals and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Stephen of Douglas; parents Claude and Gwen Tate of Douglas; children Misty Davis and Justin Davis of Douglas; sisters Cindy Wilbur of Glenrock, Connie Wood of Casper, Ronda Hattaway of Toole, Utah, and Beverly Hanson of Springhill, La.; brother Donnie Tate of Douglas; maternal grandparents Anison and Eleanor King of Mathis, Texas; nieces and nephews Robert Tate, Robin Wolford, Cheri Cristy and Beth Wilbur, Chris, Becky and Charles Wood, Clint, Brandon, Shawna and T.J. Hattaway, Walter and George Knighten, Shayla Knighten, Brittany and Ashley Moore, Tristen and Tanner Knighten and B.J. Knighten; and great-niece Mercedes Tate. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Claude and Martha Tate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jess Cantrall, Matt Edwards, Jonce Edwards, Bob Miller, John Rogers, John Kuhlman, Marlin Lange and Bruce Hattaway. Honorary pallbearers will be Percy Penny, Melissa Krakor, Henry Brown and Mary Brown. Memorials to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
