Mr. Day died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1995, at Michael Manor in Douglas.
He was born Sept. 13, 1915, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Virgil E. and Bertha O. Day. He was reared and educated in Scottsbluff. Mr. Day worked for various ranchers and farmers prior to entering the Army in August 1941; he was discharged in August 1945.
He returned to ranching at Chugwater. He was married to Dorcas M. Duncan on Oct. 5, 1946, in Scottsbluff. They moved to Douglas in 1964 and he worked for Knisley-Moore Construction Company as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed gardening and working crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife, Dorcas, of Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial to Michael Manor would be appreciated by the family.
Private family inurnment will be held at the Douglas Park Cemetery.
