Mr. Anderson died Oct. 31 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.
He was born June 4, 1927, near Bloomburg, Texas, to Carl and Josephine (Jones) Anderson.
he was a member of the Shrine, Masonic Lodge, Elks, VFW, American Telegraph Society and board of directors of the Shrine Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He retired from the Union Pacific in 1983. At the time of his retirement he was the terminals superintendent.
In 1945 he married Betty Jo Pugh in Atlanta, Texas. She preceded him in death in June 1985.
In November 1987, Mr. Anderson married Betty Good in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mr. Anderson enjoyed arrowhead hunting, coin collecting, fishing and collecting historical memorabilia.
He was also a rock hound and loved historical documentation and review.
He joined the Navy in 1942 and fought in World War II.
He spent most of that time in the Pacific Theater. He was discharged in 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Anderson of Casper; sons Bill Anderson Jr. and his wife Ellen of Green River and Jim Anderson and his wife Pauline of Rawlins; daughter Starlett Munk of Evanston; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Betty Jo Anderson and infant son Gary Michael Anderson.
