Douglas Budget - January 4, 1984Mass for Christian Burial for Clarence James Dierman age 77, was held Friday, Dec. 30, 1983 at the Saint James Catholic Church with Father Philip Colibraro officiating.
Rosary was recited Thursday evening Dec. 29, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel in Douglas. Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Clarence James Dierman was born Sept. 18, 1906 in Brooklyn, New York to Henry and Sophia (Koop) Dierman. He worked at Seamans Bank for Savings for 42 years, retiring as Executive Vice President of Operations.
He attended American Institute of Banking and Brown University Graduate School of Banking. He was a member of many civic organizations, the most recent being Kiwanis of Wyoming. He was a member of Silver Legislature, Wyoming Advisory Council for Senior Citizens, Douglas Senior Citizens Board of Trustees.
He is survived by his wife Ethel of Douglas, one son Robert Dierman of Columbus, Nebraska and one sister Margarete Lesbirele of Hollywood, Florida; one brother Dr. Fred Dierman of Baltimore, Maryland; two grandchildren, Karl and Mary Dierman of Columbus, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Serving as pallbearers were Philip Atkerson, Brad Graham, Jim Monroe, Bob Kopperud, Gene Payne, Jr., and Al Pierce. Honorary pallbearers were Ben LeVasseur, Butch Johnson, Hap Ketelson, Fritz Roush, and Lawrence Larson.
Memorials have been established to Converse County Heart Fund or to the Saint James Catholic Church Building Fund.
The Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
