Douglas Budget - September, 1996AURORA, Colo. - Funeral services have been held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Aurora, Colo., for Casper native the Honorable William T. "Bill" Dixon, 67.
Judge Dixon died Sept. 17, 1996 at University Hospital in Denver of complications from heart bypass surgery.
He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Casper.
He attended and graduated from St. Anthony School and was an active member of that parish.
He represented Wyoming in the American Legion Oratorical Contest when he was younger and graduated from the University of Wyoming Law School.
He married Mary Jean Fogarty on Sept. 1, 1951.
He served as county attorney in Converse County and practiced law in Glenrock.
Survivors include his brothers, the Honorable John T. "Jack" Dixon and Michael Phillip Dixon; six sons, William T. "Bill", John F., Stephen P., Dennis J., Timothy J. and Thomas M., and one daughter, Ann M. Dixon; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Mary T. Dixon, both of Casper and a daughter, Mary Michael.
