Douglas Budget - January 11, 1979Services for Ethel Irene Ainslie, 46, of Douglas were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1979, at the First Baptist Church in Douglas with Pastor Bob Norris officiating. Interment was in Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Ainslie died Saturday, Jan. 6, 1979, at Converse County Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was born May 14, 1932 at Chadron, Nebr.
She attended Chadron Public School and graduated with honors in 1950. She married Robert Ainslie on Nov. 12, 1950 and they came to Douglas in 1952.
She was a waitress at the LaBonte Hotel. Throughout her life she helped many children who will always remember her. She also was the first police radio operator in Douglas.
Mrs. Ainslie was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Past Senior Regent of Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Douglas; one son, Robert Ainslie of Douglas; two daughters, Mrs. Diana Wire of Riverton and Mrs. Sharon Rennick of Tacoma, Wash.; four grandchildren; one brother, Joe Rimmer of Douglas; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Owens of Casper, Mrs. Pearl Roberts of Chadron, Nebr. and Mrs. Grace Wilson of Harden Montana; and her parents John and Blanche Rimmer.
Pallbearers were Bill Rimmer, Bruce Reed, Dave York, Willi Gabriel, Vernon Ainslie, Gene Morton, Harry Johnston, Beef Bolln, Dwain McKee and Art Sims. She was preceded in death by Mamie Tuma and John Rim(sic)er.
