Douglas Budget - August 18, 1995Memorial services for former Douglas resident Roland Roy 'Rolly' Dillion will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel.
The Rev. John E. Williams will officiate.
Mr. Dillion, 74, of Casper, died Aug. 18, 1995, at Poplar Living Center in Casper. Cremation has taken place.
He was born Dec. 3, 1920, in Sauk Rapids, Minn., to Ray and Clara (Adams) Dillion. He married Rose Smith on Oct. 20, 1943, at Belle Fourche, S.D., while in the service. He was stationed in Rapid City, S.D.
After Mr. Dillion was discharged, the two moved to Belle Fourche where their daughter was born. They then moved to Sturgis, S.D., where Mr. Dillion worked at Fort Meade Veterans Hospital.
In 1951 the family moved to Glenrock and then to Douglas in 1971. A short time ago they moved to Casper. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, horseshoes, pool, his family and friends. After being discharged from the service, Mr. Dillion worked in construction and the oil field.
He is survived by his wife, Rose of Casper; daughter Jeanette Campbell of Casper; sister Faye Moore of Rapid City, S.D.; sister Mabel Adams of Sebastapol, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Earl Dillion.
