George W. Amos, 73, a pioneer of eastern Wyoming, died at an Omaha hospital and was buried at Gillette on Thursday last, Dean F. C. Wissenback of Sheridan officiating at the funeral. For 30 years he was located on the 4-Jay ranch, 18 miles south of Gillette, but in 1919 he made his home on the Greasewood ranch, 40 miles south of Gillette, where he resided until he went to Omaha a few months ago. He is survived by one sister. Amos was in Niobrara county and was well known in this vicinity at that time.
