Adams, Josephine (Jarchow) (Unknown - November 24, 1910)
Mrs. Ernest Adams Dead
Bill Barlows Budget - November 30, 1910One of the most pathetic deaths in the history of Douglas was announced last Thursday, at which time Mrs. Ernest Adams passed away after an operation in the Douglas hospital. She had been in critical condition for several weeks, and as a last resort it was decided to operated. Two little children--two and one-half and eighteen months of age--are left motherless by this death, while the community suffers the loss of an esteemed lady who enjoyed a large circle of friends in this county.
Deceased resided on the McKinley ranch near Orin at the time she was taken ill, but was preparing to move to Douglas. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jarchow of Douglas, who with her husband and sister--Mrs. A.A. Clough--are left to mourn her loss.
The funeral was from Christ church Friday afternoon, Rev. Tancook officiating. A large concourse of sorrowing friends attended the last sad rites, and followed the remains to Sunnyside cemetery, where interment was made.
The sincere sympathy of the entire community goes out to the sorrowing relatives, and to the two little ones bereft of a mother's care through this untimely demise.
