Douglas Budget - March 13, 1986Funeral services for Juanita L. Beaver 83, were held Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Douglas with Reverend Harry B. Randall, III officiating. Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Beaver died March 7 at the Memorial Hospital of Natrona County in Casper following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 9, 1903 in Saginaw, Mich. to Henry and Frieda (Liebke) Hageman. She moved with her parents to a homestead north of Douglas during her early teen years.
She married Raymond Beaver on Dec. 22, 1926 in Douglas. They homesteaded north of there in the Walker Creek Community. Following her husband's death, she resided at Irwin Towers in Douglas.
Mrs. Beaver attended the First United Methodist Church, and in her earlier years she was a teacher in the rural schools, worked with 4-H Youth and was a member of the Walker Creek Homemakers Club.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Romona Baker; grandson, Matthew Scott Beaver; brothers, Curt, Carl and Arthur Hageman; and sister, Elizabeth Johnson.
She is survived by sons George R. Beaver of Casper, and Donald R. Beaver of Ventura, Cal.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Porter of Glenrock; and brother, Arnold Hageman of Torriington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Juanita Memorial Fund has been established in the care of the Converse Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 874, Douglas, Wyoming.
Serving as pallbearers were Steven Porter, Jim Hageman, Neal Johnson, Bobby Hageman, Art Hageman, and Ronnie Joe Hageman.
The Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
