Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Bancker, well-known former Douglas resident, were held in Wheatland July 27, and graveside services and interment were in Jackson, Michigan July 29.

Mrs. Bancker passed away in a Wheatland hospital July 26 after a month's confinement.

She had arrived in Glendo June 20 to spend the summer with her sisters, Edna Burns and Margaret Freeman.

Mrs. Bancker was born January 27, 1884 in Exira, Iowa, and as a young girl had lived in Douglas. She had made her home in Jackson, Michigan for many years, but returned to Glendo to spend each summer with her sisters.

Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Burns and Mrs. Freeman; a daughter Margaret, of Scarsdale, New York, and two grandsons.
