Mrs. Nick Benaris Passes Away
at Memorial Hospital End Comes Saturday Night Following Many Years of Ill Health
Douglas Budget - November 29, 1945Mrs. Margaret Benaris, 76, wife of Nick Benaris and for many years a resident of this county, died at Memorial hospital shortly after 9:30 last Saturday night. She had been in poor health and partially paralyzed for thirteen years. She had been an invalid and helpless for the past two years. She entered the hospital on September 26.
Funeral services were in charge of Rev. Louis Gale of the Congregational church Tuesday afternoon at the Hofmann Chapel. Burial was in Douglas Park cemetery. Pallbearers were John Henry, Robert L. Irvine, Fred Graves, Frank Amspoker, Eli Peterson and Fred Hildebrand.
Margaret Haskinger was born at Constantine, Mich., on October 8, 1869. On February 5, 1918 at Douglas she was united in marriage to Nicholas Benaris. For many years she lived on the Benaris place north and east of Douglas, moving to town several years ago.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John Shilaos, and three grandchildren, Mary, George and Jean Shilaos of Casper.
