Unknown - June 20, 1968Funeral services for Lebert E. Bevins, 51, were held at Stark's Chapel June 17, with the Rev. Clyde Thompson of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mr. Bevins was found dead at his home in Casper June 14.
He was born October 23, 1916 at Shawnee, and attended Douglas schools, graduating from high school here. He served in the armed forces from 1940 to 1946, and was stationed in Japan.
He married Gladys Combs in Douglas Oct. 24, 1954, and worked for Continental Oil in Glenrock until 1960 when he moved to Casper. He had worked as maintenance man at the First National Bank since then.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frances Alexander of California, and Mrs. Dale Wallis, Casper.
Pallbearers were I.B. Rupe, Frank Burrell, Bob Wallis, Chet Lane, Tom Rupe, and Willard Ivester.
