Unknown - September 6, 1956Funeral services were conducted Monday, September 2 at Stark chapel for Mrs. Charles Bennett, who passed away at her home in Casper after a long illness.
Rev. H.H. Lindeman of the Congregational church had charge of the services.
Amanda Bennett was born at Silver Point, Tennessee October 19, 1892, the daughter of Sarah and LaFayette Maynard.
With her family she came to Ceresco, Nebraska at the ago of 16 years.
On January 9, 1913, she was united in marriage to Charles L. Bennett at Ceresco, Nebraska. They made their home there for seven years. In search of a climate that might be more favorable to Mrs. Bennett, they moved to a ranch between Douglas and Lusk.
In 1946 they moved to Douglas, where they resided for several years. In 1955, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett moved to Casper to make their home.
Surviving the deceased are her husband, Charles L. Bennett, two sons, Robert of Hawthorne, Calif. and Loyd of Douglas. Three sisters, Mary Bozar, Madoe, Indiana, Myra Watson, Freemont, Nebr. and Florence Steele, Wahoo, Neb. Five brothers, John Maynard, Denver, Homer Maynard, Davenport, Neb., Solon Maynard, Wahoo, Neb., Monroe Maynard, Lee Summit, Missouri, William Maynard, Harrisville, Mo. and three grandchildren, Donald, Kenneth and Marie.
