CONVERSE MAN STRICKEN FRIDAY
Unknown - May 12, 1949Charles T. Bennett, Converse county rancher, died at Memorial hospital in Casper Friday following a short illness. He was 42.
Mr. Bennett had been a patient at the Converse county hospital since last Monday and had been transferred to Casper for treatment Friday morning.
He was born in Korintho, Greece, and had come to the United States in March 1911. After living in New Kork for only a year he moved to Casper.
For many years he worked for the Standard refinery. Ten years ago Mr. Bennett became a rancher and moved to a ranch eight miles southeast of Douglas.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian, two sons, Jimmie and Ted, and a daughter, Katherine. An uncle Jim Paris of Casper, also survived.
Mr. Bennett was a member of Casper Chapter No. 159, Order of Ahepa.
Services were held Monday from the Bustard funeral home with the pastor of the Greek Orthodox church of Cheyenne officiating. Interment was in the Ahepa plot at Highland cemetery.
