Bill Barlows Budget - November 26, 1914Early Monday morning S.A. Bishop quietly passed away at the hospital where he has been a sufferer for several weeks. About sixty days ago he was operated on for stomach perforations and seemed to be recovering from the operation but recently other complications appeared which caused his death.
Mr. Bishop was another of the Wyoming old-timers having come to this state in 1876. For many years he had resided at his ranch on the Lower LaPrele. He was the father of twelve children eleven of them being left to mourn his loss. Eight of them reside in Douglas: L. Clark Bishop, Clarence, Edith, Spencer, Arthur, Cecil, Edna and Mable. Maude Bishop resides in Omaha and Oren and Hattie Bishop Nye live in Jamesville, N.Y.
Mr. Bishop was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where he resided until he moved to Wyoming in 1876.
He was a member of the Woodmen of the World. The local lodge of the order had charge of the funeral services which were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon.
