Unknown - May 28, 1970Funeral services for Arthur Roy Bimson were held May 5 at Cheyenne and burial was in that city. Mr. Bimson died May 1 at a Cheyenne hospital following a short illness. He was 83.
Mr. Bimson was born in 1886 at Inman, Nebr., and had lived in Cheyenne for 28 years, going there from Douglas. He had been employed by the Spear Lumber Co. for 40 years, beginning with the firm in Douglas and going to Cheyenne when the company opened its yard there. The Bimsons lived in Douglas from 1923 to 1942. They were married Nov. 9, 1909 at Elgin, Nebr.
Mr. Bimson was a member of the United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 11, A.F. & A.M., Wyoming Consistory No. 1, and Oak Leaf Chapter No. 6, O.E.S. and the Modern Woodsmen.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; four children, Ralphine Nauman, Cheyenne, Richard Bimson, Redwood City, Calif., Meredith Bimson, Los Angeles, and Patty Anderson of Casper. Other survivors are a brother and two sisters, Oliver Bimson and Mrs. Floy Hunter, both of Boulder, Mrs. Mary Prouty, David City,Nebr.; 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
