Henry Bloem Dies At Yuma,
Douglas Budget - October 30, 1941Word was received here today of the death of Henry J. Bloem at his home in Yuma, Ariz. Bloem, a former resident of Douglas, is well known here. Funeral arrangements are not yet made but it is said by members of the family here that his body will be brought to Douglas for burial.
He i survived by his widow of Douglas; five sons, Arnold J. of Casper and John, Howard, Herman and Melvin of Douglas; two daughters, Mrs. John McMackin and Mrs. Ruth Race, both of Douglas.

Bloem Funeral Held Monday
Douglas Budget - November 6, 1941Funeral services for Henry Bloem, who passed away at a hospital at his home in El Centro, Calif., October 29, were held at the graveside in Douglas Park cemetery Monday afternoon with Rev. Louis Gale in charge. Pallbearers were Harlow Roush, Grover Gallagher, Lucian Henley, Lloyd Beach, Henry Hart and Dick Pearson.
Henry J. Bloem, the announcement of whose death was made in last week's Budget, was born in Galena, Ill., July 24, 1870, being past 71 at the time of his death. A former resident of Douglas, he had lived the past eight years in California.
Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Race and Mrs. John McMackin, and four sons, John, Howard, Herman and Melvin, all of Douglas; another son, Arnold of Casper; a sister, Mrs. Harry Bindrup of Neward, Neb., and 10 grandchildren.
