Irl. H. Brown Dies Tuesday
Unknown - 1964Irl H. Brown, 63, of 122 West K., retired employee of the Standard Oil Co., of Indiana, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital a short illness.
He was born March 16, 1896, in Milan, Mo. While he was still a child, the family moved to Glenrock, and 28 years ago he came to Casper.
He married Cora Meehl at Douglas on Oct. 19, 1922.
Mr. Brown was a member of the American Legion and Casper Collins barracks of the Veterans of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, at the family home; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Piper of Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Coates of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Emmel Stirling and Mrs. Clarence Sykes of Milan, Mo.; two brothers, Albert of Milan, and Charles of Kansas City; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Horstman Memorial Chapel on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Edward Watke Jr. of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, with military honors. A member of the World War I Veterans will present the flag to the widow.
